The dreams of OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) mother Marivic Balunsay has been shattered after her daughter was found in Cavite lifeless, raped and chopped by a suspect who claims to be her ex-boyfriend.
Upon hearing the news, she broke down on social media and made a series of post expressing her grief.
The mother, working in Saudi Arabia, even wrote messages for her daughter on several posts.
She also changed her profile photo to further express her despair.
Netizens sympathized with her over the great loss. Some even urged her to be strong for her other children.
"It’s really unfortunate that you are working abroad to support your daughter then suddenly someone killed her brutally," commented one netizen.
