Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla cried foul over distorted photos which appeared on the broadsheet The Philippine Star which tagged her as the real girlfriend of Kapuso actor Alden Richards.
She claimed that the photo was intentionally manipulated to look like there was malice. She demanded Ricky Lo, the columnist of the paper where the photo appeared, to conduct some research and fact-check before publishing anything. She said she was is gravely disappointed. She ranted on Twitter and sid, "How does one take another person's photo without permission, and take time to edit that person out of their own photo to create malice?"
As of this writing, PhilStar is still investigating the article where the photo appeared.
Bela Padilla is currently in a steady four-year relationship with Neil Arce.
