Three years after super typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines, President Rodrigo Duterte issued a directive after seeing that the houses built by the previous administration for the victims of the typhoon have no basic utilities. During his attendance at the third 'Yolanda' Commemoration Ceremony, he ordered Presidential assistant for Visayas, Sec. Michael Dino and housing czar Vice President Leni Robredo to finish the housing activity by December this year.

18 days after the directive was issued, the first batch of the Yolanda victims visited their new homes armed with cleaning materials to prepare their houses. Sec. Dino assured the people that the village has clean water.

Aside from Tacloban, Sec. Dino visited all other places hit by Yolanda to provide help and check the status of the other housing projects.
