Get ready for your emergency kits and pray to God for safety as state weather bureau PAG ASA predicted Typhoon Lawin to be a supertyphoon.
Lawin (international name Haima) has already entered the Philippine area of responsibility as PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
Lawin is located at 1,155 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes as of 5:30 p.m. yesteday.
The typhoon might be a super typhoon as it packs maximum sustained winds of more than 220 kilometers per hour as it approaches the Philippine landmass.
In the latest weather bulletin, Lawin is packing maximum sustained winds up to 175 kph and gusts of up to 215 kph.
It will move west northwest at 24 kph, and is expected to make landfall over Cagayan on October 20 before hitting Ilocos Norte and Apayao.
Stay safe, Filipinos because the typhoon will exit PAR on October 21.
