An emotional reunion happened between former child actor Jiro Manio and Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas last Friday, according to “Chika Minute” reporter Nelson Canlas.
The heart-felt reunion between them made the actress burst into tears as she visited the award-winning actor in a wellness facility where he is undergoing a rehabilitation program. Delas Alas’ visit is a part of Manio’s rehabilitation program called “guided dialogue” and according to GMA News Team, the rehabilitation center allowed them to take footage of the dramatic reunion.
The “guided dialogue” is a component of Manio’s rehabilitation program where people who are close to him are invited to hear his expression of his feelings and emotions. Manio did not expect that Delas Alas will come and so he was not able to prepare whatever he said during the encounter.
Manio thanked Delas Alas for being the one who helped him when he lost himself.
"Nagpapasalamat ako, hindi dahil tinulungan mo ako, dahil ni rescue mo ako," Manio emotionally said to Delas Alas.
Delas Alas found the former actor roaming around an airport asking people for food. The comedy queen who played as Jiro’s mother in “Ang Tanging Ina” movie immediately helped Jiro and sent him in a rehabilitation facility.
After several months in the center, Jiro made improvements and changes which is evident in his physical appearance. He also said that he will continue and finish the program as he wanted to return in a peaceful life.
“Sa totoo lang kinalimutan ko na ang nakaraan kung anuman ang nangyari sa akin, wala na sa isip ko. Ayoko nang balikan pa yung masasamang bisyo," the child actor added.
Meanwhile, aiai Delas Alas did not hide her happiness as she posted in her Instagram account their emotional ancounter. She captioned it with “Nabisita ko din ang aking anak ... at siya ay buhay na buhay .... I miss you anak.”
