Four young brothers from Texas saw a news report about a 75-year-old resident in their community who was issued a warrant for arrest — all because her grass was too tall.

Despite the brothers not knowing Gerry personally, these boys decided to load up their parent’s truck and mow Gerry’s entire yard. They said it was the least they could do for the pitiful old woman.

“It’s a summer day, we don’t have season passes yet to Hawaiian Falls. What else could we do but go out and help some people,” said Blaine, one of the boys who participated in this touching act of kindness.

The boys then conquer the tall, vast grass under 90-degree heat for the elderly woman. Once the brothers began, other residents in their community joined the bandwagon. Together, they were able to mow the old woman’s entire lot in just a matter of hours.

Gerry says she’s not often speechless, but on this day, she was. The old woman admitted to being moved to tears.
