[Trending Now] The New President Of Taiwan Sounds Familiar; Could She Be Taiwan's Answer To Duterte?

We all know that the bond or ties our country once shared with the Unites States and Europenian Union might never be the same again. Now that we're under the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, we might not enjoy the same diplomatic relations we had in the past.

The new president of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, has been showing some similarities with Duterte. 

During the National Day celebrations in front of the Presidential Palace in Taipei on Monday, Ing-wen gave a powerful statement about their ties with China these past months.

On her National Day address, the Taiwan president fiercely implied that China should recognize her government’s existence and engage with it in talks.

China claims Taiwan is marked as its own territory, to be brought under its control by force if necessary.

Ing-wen says that her country won't bow down to Beijing under the pressure they're giving. 

“But we will not bow to pressure, and we will of course not revert to the old path of confrontation,” she said at a ceremony outside the Presidential Office Building in central Taipei attended by 11,000 people, including more than 360 foreign guests.

If we recall, president Duterte also implied before that the Philippines will not bow down to U.S., at least in his term.

Could it possibly be that our president inspired other countries to test their limits as well?
