Director Rafael Ragod, the National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) Deputy Director has stated the he had delivered money to Senator Leila De Lima more than twice when she still was a former Justice Secretary together with her driver, as said by Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Wednesday.
Earlier, Ragos testified in the Congress that there were instances that he delivered P5-million to De Lima’s residence, twice.
Ragos also claimed that all of this happened when he was the officer-in-charge of the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor). One of the penal establishments under BuCor is the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
“Nag execute siya [Ragos] ng supplemental affidavit na nage-enumerate ng instances na hindi lang dalawang beses siyang nagdeliver ng pera kay Ronnie Dayan,” Aguirre mentioned.
Aguirre also said that there are still nine witnesses aside from Ragos that are expected to testify in the inquiry at the Congress on Thursday, which includes De Lima’s former assistant Jonelle Sanchez, another inmate and a police officer.
