[Trending Now] MUST WATCH: Late Senator Miriam Santiago Promises Grandkids 'I'm Going Home Now'

Manila, Philippines- “I’m going home now!” the late Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago told her grandkids in a video uploaded by her daughter-in-law on  Facebook.

The video of the late senator went viral because it made viewers emotional as she tried to convince one of her grandkids that she will go home eventually. 

Although the video was undated, it can be seen that the senator is too weak to interact with her grandchild. However, she managed to exert all her remaining strength to play with him.

 Mechel Santiago, the senator’s daughter-in-law, posted this video on her Facebook account saying that only 2 out of her 5 children know about Sen. Miriam’s death. 

She said that the rest of them thought that the senator is still in the hospital.

“It’s hard to hear them every night praying for you to get well and come home soon,” Mechel posted on Facebook.

The prominent senator died on September 29, 2016 at St. Luke’s Medical Centre due to lung cancer.
