It was a heartbreaking day for housemate Maymay Entrata when she was informed that her grandfather had passed away. According to Maymay's cousin, her 'Papa Joe' suffered from a heart attack. 

Maymay broke down in tears as she shared how close she is to her grandfather. According to her, her grandfather acted as her father growing up. Big Brother comforted Maymay and gave her words of wisdom as to how to handle the grief.  To the relief of the fans, Maymay will not be exiting voluntarily from the PBB house.

However, Kuya gave her a permission to temporarily leave the house to attend the funeral of her late grandfather. She was accompanied by Edward, as per Big Brother's order, in going to the funeral. Maymay wasn't able to hold back her grief as she delivered her eulogy and last message to her Papa Joe. She said that she was grateful for all the care and love that her Papa Joe gave her. 

Edward, who also lost her grandmother recently, sympathized with Maymay as he also felt the grief of losing a loved one. 

Both of them have been able to come back at the house after the funeral.
