Recently, a very unfortunate circumstance befell Davao City. Friday night, when a big explosion hit the night market killing 10 people on the spot and 4 more were dead upon arrival on hospital. Furthermore, this caused a injury to 67 people and counting. This has been the first big attack in the city after many years.
The Abu Sayaff already claimed the responsibility for the bombing. They also threatened the government to get ready for more in the coming days. This is their response to the all-out war waged by the government which was announced by the Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella just recently.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN's noontime show, It's Showtime, offered a moment of silence and prayer for Davao City and the victims of the bombing. It was led by Amy Perez. They also urged everyone to unite in this season of endeavor and to be of help in praying for the city.
