Following the controversial third senate hearing on the extrajudicial killings wherein a witness who claims to be part of the Davao Death Squad was presented, controversies have turned over against the Adhoc Committee chair, Leila De Lima.
She is now being linked to the illegal drug trade which took place at the New Bilibid Prison back when she was still secretary of Justice. According to some reports, a probe is being arranged to have an inquiry with the neophyte senator on the proliferation of illegal drugs.
However, De Lima dismissed the probe to a and swore not to attend the hearing with or without invitation.
“With or without an invitation, I will NOT attend that hearing. I will not even send any representative, lawyer or even an observer,” De Lima said in a text message.
“I'm not at all recognizing that proceedings. It is a sham inquiry, with no objective other than to demolish or destroy me, upon orders of the President,” she added.
She also noted that this is the doing of President Duterte's House allies.
It can be recalled earlier that President Duterte has linked De Lima and his driver lover in the drug trade. Aguirre has seconded the statement and has said that high provide convict Herbert Colangco and some others are set to testify against De Lima. Aguirre added that they have acquired another witness which is a "ranking" government official.
But De Lima says she is no longer surprised with the "false or perjured" witnesses they are planting.
