In an interview, Robin Padilla a famous actor said the he saw that inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) shabu was being prepared when he stayed there because of illegal possession of firearms for three years.

Padilla said during an interview with ANC, the illegal drug was being cooked at the maximum facility with everyone knowing that this act was being done.

“Pagdating ko nga dun nagtanong sakin yung gwardiya, ‘Anong gusto mong tirahin?’ Sabi ko, ‘Ho?’ Sabi, ‘Gusto mo ba ng shabu?’” Padilla mentioned.

He also said that he was surprised because he thought that the “visitors” are legit visitors. It turns out that they are illegal drug costumers.

After witnessing the incident, Padilla said that he reported it to the NBP Director, Vicente Vinarao. Then Director Vinarao told Padill to submit the names of the people who are part of the incident.

He also said that there are prison guards who are dismissed and some are transferred to other prisons.

Padilla also disclosed that the common thing that prisoners have is they carry their own firearm. According to him, he also carries his own .45 caliber pistol as well.

Padilla mentioned, “Someone was even packing an Armalite while he was jogging. It’s dangerous if you don’t carry a gun. When the prison shuts down for the day and the guards are gone, a riot could break out.”


Padilla also claimed that he became an asset of the government to oppose the illegal drug activities inside the New Bilibid Prison. Because of what he did, he said that he was given a conditional pardon.
