The story of The Fault in Our Stars has garnered so much love from the international community and has received many awards. 

But it is not known to many people that there is a real-life couple that is compared to them. 

Unfortunately, they suffer the same fate as the one that happened to Augustus Waters and Hazel Grace Lancaster. 

Katie and Dalton Prager were the couple known around the world as The Fault In Our Stars couple. 

Their love story is literally one for the books. 

Both Katie and Dalton have passed away just days apart from each other after a battling cystic fibrosis, a disease that more than 30,000 people in America are dealing with right now.

Katie and Dalton met on Facebook when they were 18 years old, according to reports by CNN.  

Dalton saw a picture of her and talked to her, and for their first meeting, he and his mother had to drive 6 hours from their home in Missouri to Kate’s Kentucky home. "My heart was racing, but I just went right up to him and hugged and kissed him on the mouth without even saying hello," Katie recalled.

Doctors warned them not to meet in person because CF patients can pass dangerous bacteria to one another, they not only met, but got married. 

However, 7 years after their love story, Dalton surrendered to his illness and died on a Thursday, September 23. A few day after, his wife died also. 

Netizens express their sadness for the couple’s fatefor having their love story short-lived, but some were also happy for them for the love that they shared was obviously on fire.
