Mariel Rodriguez, pregnant with her child with husband Robin Padilla flew to the US alone in preparation for her upcoming birth-giving in November.

The television host posted a photo on Instagram of her with Padilla during their date before her flight to the US on Friday.

"Thank you for insisting we go on a date one more time...before we see each other again," she captioned.

In another Instagram post, she also promised to "tell Isabella (their first child) how much her dad loves her. Thank you for loving us!"

Padilla earlier clarified his wife's need to go the US due to her delicate pregnancy.

"Una, siyempre kailangan malaman ng karamihan na 'yun pong pagbubuntis ni Mariel ay napakadelikado. Iyan po ang isa sa mga pagsubok na dinadaanan ni Mariel. Hindi naman po namin sinasabi na hindi kaya dito iyan sa Pilipinas. Kaya! Pero nandoon ang technology. Nandoon kaagad. Huwag na natin hintayin na nandiyan ang problema bago tayo aaksyon. Nandoon na eh kaya mas pinili namin na doon siya para naka-stand by ang lahat."
