Last Saturday, the rematch of ‘King’ Arthur Villanueva and Mexican opponent Juan Jimenez at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, was anticipated by millions. King proved himself in the second round and remained the WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight belt over his opponent.

Last May 2016, was the first fight of Villanueva and Jimenez. The Mexican opponent got knocked out and promptly demanded a rematch.

This time around, Jimenez took a direct hit to the jaw which sent him right onto the mat.

The time was 2:20 in the mark of the second round. Villanueva now has the 26th win in his professional record having got lost once.

Villanueva said after the fight, “Hindi po ako nagexpect ng ganoon kabilis matapos ang laban. Sinunod ko lang po ang instruction ng coach ko. Pinag-aralan ko ng mabuti ang last fight naming.”

Villanueva enhance his record with 30 wins and one loss, 16 Victories via knockout. Meanwhile, Jimenez went down to 22-11 in his course.
