Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is a former Navy Officer but then now serves as a Senator of the Philippines. He also ran for Vice Presidency last election. 

His name is now all over the news and on social media as a result of the recent hearing about the witness brought by Sen. Leila De Lima on the Senate with regards on extra judicial killings in the country. It is also where he displayed a ‘rude’ behavior towards Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano during the said hearing.

Last Friday, Sen. Trillanes claimed that he did not regret on what he did to Sen. Cayetano – turning off his microphone last Thursday at the Senate hearing because of Cayetano being out of order.

Trillanes mentioned in his interview with Unang Balita at GMA, “Hindi po ako (nagsisisi). Kasi ganito po ang konteksto niyan eh. Nagiging out of order na siya… Kailangan kong gawin ‘yon para hindi sila nagsasabayan ni Sen. De Lima.”

Netizens went furious and expressed their thoughts by creating memes and commenting on posts about the Senator’s conduct. 

On social media, a Facebook user commented on post:

“yan ang pinapasunod nya sa sarili niyang mga anak na mang bastos nang tao habang nagsasalita papatayan ng mike (microphone) sa akala mo trillions (Sen. Trillanes) pruod (proud) kaya ang pamilya mo sayo….PINHIYA MO CLA SENADOR KA DAPAT KAGALANG GALANG KA pero TINAIHAN mo ang DANGAL MO..”

Another commenter said:

“Ito ang PMA GRAD. na inoupoan ang pinag aralan niya.. nakakhiya ka Mr trillanes.. Yan ba ang turo sayo ng PMA?? Ang hnd marunong magrespeto sa kapwa?? Wala kang kwentang SENADOR TRAIDOR ka.. Tanga lng ang bumoto sayo noon..Wala kang simpatiyang makukuha sa mga Pilipino #SOIDPRESIDENTDUTERTE”

Netizens also believed that he is also one of the puppets that is used to be against President Duterte. Criticisms fell down hard on the Senator, with people asking him if what he did is something what he learned from PMA or even teach his children.
