[Trending Now] MUST WATCH: Sen. Cayetano Slams Sen. Trillanes, Answers Tirades Against Duterte!

As Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV gave his privilege speech in the Senate hearing of extrajudicial killings filed against President Duterte, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano counter argued and criticized his statements on Monday, September 26.

Sen. Trillanes made headlines last week as he claimed in an interview that he conducted investigations and collected evidences that will prove the credibility of Edgar Matobato. In addition, Sen. Trillanes also accused the President to be the man behind the mass killings of thousands of criminals in Davao City through the notorious Davao Death Squad.

However, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, who ran alongside Pres. Duterte during the National elections, did not let Trillanes’ speech end without a debate. Cayetano in the video mentioned some of what he thinks are interpolated ideas presented by Trillanes to cover inconsistencies in Matobato’s statements.

The debate which lasted for more than 30 minutes showed how Cayetano confidently denigrated Trillanes’ findings from his investigations. Meanwhile, the Senate hearing regarding the extrajudicial killings will still resume following the decision of the Senate last week to invite policemen who were accused by Matobato as his colleagues in the Davao Death Squad.
