[Trending Now] MUST READ: Gretchen Malalad Helped Author Of A Magazine Get the Scoop on Duterte's War Against Drugs

A Journalist from ABS-CBN, Gretchen Malalad, got criticism from social media because she allegedly handed out one sided information to Rishi Iynegar, a writer for Time Magazine.

The cover story focused on President Duterte’s campaign against drugs and other criminalities which led to a record amount of extrajusicial killings. Naturally, many were concerned about his actions.

Iyengar congratulated and thanked Gretchen for her help in the story, “Night Falls in the Philippines.”

Local and international human rights groups are calling the attention of the president to stop the extra judicial killings and in relation, his war on drugs. 

The cover of the magazine depicts a body of an alleged drug dealer on which its face is covered up with packing tape with a title “The tragic cost of President Duterte’s war on drugs.”

However, Netizen's said that Malalad did not do something wrong because she has the right to express her opinion.
