[Trending Now] Miriam Defensor-Santiago To Be Buried Next To Her Son on October 2

Former Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago's remains will be interred on October 2, Sunday at the Loyola Memorial Chapel and Crematorium in Makati.

Santiago passed away in her sleep yesterday at St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig. She was 71.

She will be put to rest next to her son, Alexander, according to her brother General Benjamin Defensor.

In a previous interview in dzMM, Miriam said that she wanted to be buried beside her son because she was very close to him.

According to Rissa Ofilada, the family's spokesperson, a mass for the senator will be held at the Basilica of the Immaculate Concepcion in Cubao where her remains are for public viewing.

The mass on Sunday will begin at 1 PM then after the mass, she will be transferred to the Loyola Memorial Park.
