[Trending Now] Miriam Defensor-Santiago Rushed To The Hospital; Is In Critical Condition Now!

The battle continues as former senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago is now back to the ICU and is once again struggling with cancer. 

The gutsy woman that everybody loves was being treated since September 3, according to some sources, and is now at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City. 

However, contrary to these repots, the daughter-in-law of the said former senator has stated that Madam Miriam is indeed back in the hospital but not in the ICU. 

According to her, former senator Miriam is being treated at a private room. “Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago is in a private room of St. Luke’s Global, not in the ICU. 

She is currently being treated for her cancer and the family is hoping that she will fully recover. Thank you for respecting our privacy in the meantime. 

Thank you for continuously praying for her. She loves all of you. She is a fighter and will continuously fight this battle”, Mechel Santiago wrote on Facebook.

She was last confined to a hospital on May 31st, which were caused by some complications and was rushed at the same hospital. 

The former sentor also developed anorexia because of her medicine.

Santiago announced that she had lung cancer in July 2014, but announced last year that had already beaten the disease after undergoing a clinical trial for a new anticancer drug. 

She ran for presidency but lost by a landslide to President Rodrigo Duterte.
