Lawmakers from the House of Representatives urges Senator Leila de Lima to resign from her Senatorial post after being pointed out by witness Rodolfo Magleo as the head of the illegal drugs proliferation inside New Bilibid Prison.

Buhay partylist Rep. Lito Atienza and Kabalikat ng Mamamayan (Kabayan) Rep. Harry Roque said that De Lima must file her resignation due to her alleged involvement in the illegal drug activities inside Bilibid during her term as Justice Secretary.

It was de Lima’s administration in the Department of Justice when the public discovered luxurious life of high-profile inmates having Jacuzzi and hightech gadgets inside prisons.

It was even discovered that the inmates were allegedly protected by De Lima to continue illegal drug business inside Bilibid.

House witness Rodolfo Magleo even labeled the NBP as the 'Shabu Center of the Philippines' aside from calling it 'Little Las Vegas' during the term of the Senator as Justice Secretary.

Even the high-profile inmate and drug lord Herbert Colanggo admitted that he used to gave 3M Pesos to De Lima in exchange of protection and VIP treatment.

After hearing the testimony of the witnesses, some of the Lawmakers finally decided to ask de Lima to resign from her position.
