Recently, a riot occurred in the New Bilibid Prison which led to the death of Chinese druglord and prime suspect Tony Co. Among the injured were Peter Co, Vicente Sy and Jaybee Sebastian. This was after Clarence Dungail, a former PNP Chief Inspector reprimanded Tony, Peter and Sy for using shabu. Tony Co attacked Dungail which started the riot. 

When the story came out, Senator De Lima's name has been dragged again after accusations that she ordered the riot to silence the witnesses circulated among the public. During a press conference, she finally broke her silence regarding the issue and went emotional. 

"Ako na naman ang may kagagawan niyan?" De Lima said.

"Sila ang nang-gigipit sila. Masyado na nila ako ginigipit, inaapi. Tapos ganyan pa ang gagawin nila. Lahat nalang sinisisi sa akin? And they call themselves men? Ganyan ba mga lalaki? They're cowards, they're fools, and they're liars."

She was teary-eyed while defending herself in front of the media.
