We often see President Rodrigo Duterte as tough and full of conviction. As the chief executive of the country, it is expected of him to stay alert and of sound mind to decide the best for the nation. Since he assumed post, he immediately waged war against illegal drugs and have been very aggressive in the country-wide campaign.

Recently he also waged an all-out war against the Abu Sayyaf after 15 soldiers died in a clash against the ASG in Patikul, Sulu. He added 5 battalions, equivalent to 2,500 soldiers to be concentrated in annihilating the Abu Sayyaf in Sulu. This may have been the trigger of the recent Davao City bombing which killed 14 people and injured more than 60 others.

But as much as the President worries for the Filipino people, he often conceals his vulnerability worrying for the safety of his loved ones as he fights war for everyone. He especially worry about his youngest son, Sebastian and in an interview, President Duterte said:

“Nakakatakot lang rin. Ako, Inday, pati sila (Paolo), kaya na nila (Presidential Security Group) yan. Sebastian medyo malikot ito, pasyal ng pasyal. But otherwise, we can defend ourselves,” the President said.
