An improvised explosive device hidden in a trashcan ripped through the streets of a Chelsea neighborhood in New York City Saturday night and injured dozens, then a second IED was found in a pressure cooker four blocks away.
The terrifying footage was caught on CCTV, showing how innocent citizens were just minding their own business.

The explosion came just after 8:30 p.m. ET at 133 W. 23rd St., between Sixth and Seventh Avenues
The bomb explosion injured 29 people, but none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, the New York City Fire Department said.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says "there is no evidence at this point of a terror connection" and there is no "credible and specific threat" to New York City.
Police have increased security across the five boroughs as a precaution, a law enforcement source told CNN.

Chelsea is packed with restaurants, subway stations, shops, businesses and art galleries and normally buzzing on a weekend night.
23rd street, where the explosion occurred, is in the heart of Chelsea, CNN's Richard Quest explains.

Filipinos from New York marked their safety on Facebook, and other netizens expressed their happiness to the fact that no one got hurt.
This was because of the recent Davao bombing where an IED also exploded in a famous night market in the city.
