[Trending Now] 'Abogado Na Pala Ang Bagong Job Description Ng Senator' Atty. Rivera Slams Trillanes For Protecting Matobato

Senator Trillanes continues to defend state witness Edgar Matobato and has released a statement saying that he has collected evidence to verify the credibility of Matobato. As reported by ABS-CBN, Trillanes said: "Definitely, people will see Mr. Matobato in a new light. Instead of trying to punch holes in his testimony, we did the investigative work of checking his claims and we found out that these were true," he said. 

But a lawyer lambasted Trillanes for violating several protocols of being a senator. He criticized Trillanes and De Lima for having to defend Matobato when it was supposedly their duty to verify his credibility. In his Facebook post, he said:

"Aba aba aba aba....Abogado na pala ang bagong job description ng Senator. Present evidence to confirm testimony? Ang Senate ba court of laws or PR firm? Present evidence to change how people perceive him. Senator, ikaw nga hindi mo alam paano mo pabanguhin ang pangalan mo. How can we believe him if we cannot even believe you.
