Thai actor Mario Maurer have won the hearts of Filipinos after his movie "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" aired in the country in year 2011. His well earned fame in the country did not stop there, it was soon followed by a movie with Kapamilya star Erich Gonzales entitled "Suddenly It's Magic" in 2012.

And Now, Maurer is back in the country and is said to visit often aster he was introduced as Tourism Authority of Thailand's new face

"We have positive opportunities to bring him back here," says Kajorndet Apichartrakul, director of TAT to Philippines and Singapore

"Right now, according to our survey, we have over a thousand fans of Mario in the Philippines. But of course we need your support, if you share and if you like here then it means we can give him more to his fans that follow his social media accounts."

"I think it’s quite positive that we also have a project to bring more Filipinos in Thailand to date with Mario in the beginning of next year," he added. 

When asked why Mario became the face of TAT, he answered: "Mario Maurer is the one that has influence and he’s the representative of the young generation. He represents Thainese really well."

Furthermore, Maurer voice out his gratitude to TAT for the chance of once again being in the Philippines.

"I want to thank you, TAT (Tourism Authority of Thailand), who gave me this very good opportunity. I’m very happy to be back here again in the Philippines, it’s such a great time for me to come back."
