THIS IS FINALLY HAPPENING! Late Dictator Ferdinand Marcos will be given a Hero's burial at the 'Libingan ng mga Bayani' next month, September. 

Senator Bongbong Marcos announced recently that their family is now preparing for the transfer of his father to the Libingan ng mga Bayani. It can be recalled that this is one of the things Duterte promised and got him to controversies during the presidential race.

Meanwhile, the younger Marcos posted on his Facebook page a message of gratitude to President Duterte for finally allowing the burial.

Quoting from the post, he said:

"We are deeply grateful to President Rody Duterte for allowing the burial of my dad at the Libingan ng mga Bayani this September. It has always been our family's position that it is our father's right under the law to be buried there being a soldier and a former President of this country. Our campaign has always been towards achieving unity to move the country forward. And it is this kind of pronouncement that we hope could end the decades of divisiveness that have been imposed upon us by our leaders. We would like to thank President Duterte for this kind, rightful and healing gesture."

However, a lot of opposition started to arise since the announcement.
