[Trending Now] CONQUERED: Military Proudly Announced That They Seized Abu Sayaff Strongholds in Basilan. READ HERE!

The government has started its operations to seize the most notorious rebel group in the country, the Abu Sayaff Group.

In an operation conducted by the Philippine Military as per the President's order, they were able to conquer known strongholds of the bandits. Last Sunday, they were able to seize the groups stronghold located at Barangay Baguindan Proper and at Hill 440 (Kawilan Hill) which serves as security to Abu Sayyaf's vital mobility. They also occupy this stronghold to threaten nearby communities.

During the next day, they were able to seize another located at the Hill 355 in Barangay Silangkum, Tipo-Tipo, Basilan. The said territory has foxholes, bunkers and tunnels which can house a good number of people. They were also able to retrieve two explosive devices.

Quoting from the statement of the Armed Forces Western Mindanao Command, it says:

''The combined assault from the Special Forces, other elite counter terrorism units, and Light Armor Cavalry Troops, with support from massive artillery fires, forced the enemy to abandon their stronghold,'' 

''Utilizing the elite 12-man team to conduct mass base operations and harness popular support, the operators effectively earned the trust of the local populace to support ongoing military operations."

Meanwhile, the administration is positive that they will be able to stop these bandits who recently beheaded two Canadian nationals. Rumors are, they are now diminished in supplies which gives the military an upperhand.
