"Marcos is no hero." This was the cry of hundreds of people who gathered at Lapu-lapu area in Rizal Park, Manila last Sunday despite heavy rains to join the assembly against the burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

The assembly was organized by Coalition Against Marcos Burial in the Libingan ng mga Bayani (CAMB-LNMB). Among them were students, professors and even lawmakers. Also spotted were director  Joel Lamangan, former Commission on Human Rights (CHR) chairperson Etta Rosales and senators Leila de Lima and Risa Hontiveros.

Aside from the Philippine flag, they also waved 'dislike' signs, and various placards.

"Huwag nang ilibing sa Libingan ng mga Bayani si Ferdinand Marcos, ilibing na lang siya sa Ilocos Norte," Bobby Tanada said, a human rights lawyer during the Martial Law.

Also most of them wore white to signify that despite coming from different colors, they are uniting for the anti-burial assembly, some still wore yellow which was the color of the EDSA Revolution that overthrew the regime.

They were also able to gather 7,000 signatures signifying their opposition. The protest ran from 8am to 12noon and was simultaneous with the assemblies in Baguio, Davao, Cebu, and other cities.

Meanwhile, Duterte is determined to push through with the burial and is expected to happen on September 18, 2016.
